According to an official statement, the order, issued Friday, blocks the release of any information connected to the case, including the cause and manner of death, as well as the full examiner’s report, until further notice.
Investigators are reviewing data suggesting the second suspect may have been in the car during that trip as well, the sources said, according to the report.
Detectives are reportedly exploring the possibility that Celeste’s body may have been in the vehicle during that drive. The suspect‘s phone and social media data were reportedly triangulated by detectives to the Hollywood Hills spot on the same timeframe that Rivas died.
A significant part of the investigation reportedly centers on a late-night trip D4vd took to a remote area of Santa Barbara County last spring, according to the report.
Geragos says investigators have done “remarkable” work piecing together the timeline using cellphone data, Tesla records, and location information tied to social media activity.
Investigators believe this person may have been involved at multiple points “before, during, and after” her death, according to sources familiar with the case, the report by TMZ says.
Detectives have identified a second suspect, attorney Mark Geragos shared on a podcast, citing conversations with people directly connected to the investigation.
D4vd has not been cooperative in in the investigation, according to a report by NBC4 citing an LAPD source. The singer also likely had help in dismembering and disposing of the body, per the report.
D4vid is being viewed as a suspect, and law enforcement sources told TMZ they're viewing Celeste's death as a homicide, even though the Medical Examiner has yet to determine cause or manner of death, according to the report.
Officials say the only confirmed crime so far is the concealment of a body, according to an update from The New York Post.
The LAPD reiterated its earlier statement, confirming there’s still no determination of foul play in Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death.
D4vd canceled his Seattle show and the international leg of his tour, according to TMZ and The New York Post.
D4vd cancelled his remaining two U.S. tour dates previously scheduled in Los Angeles and San Francisco, according to TMZ. He still has some international shows listed.
TMZ reported that Rivas’ mother said she had a boyfriend named David in 2024. She also allegedly had a “Shhh…” tattoo on her right index finger — a design similar to one sported by D4vd. TMZ noted that other celebrities, including Rihanna and Lindsay Lohan, have the same tattoo.
According to a report from TMZ, the girl's mother said a description by police of the body, which included a distinctive tattoo, matched her daughter's appearance.
She was identified through forensics, and the medical examiner is still working to determine a cause of death.
Rivas disappeared in the Lake Elsinore area last year, police told NBC. She was last seen April 5, 2024.
According to reports, the body has been identified as Celeste Rivas, 15.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
D4vd is scheduled to perform in Minneapolis on Tuesday.
The impounded car had reportedly been at the property for a couple of days, and the body had been placed inside a bag.
According to KABC, the vehicle is allegedly registered in Hempstead, Texas, to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.
Police responded to the impound lot after a report of a foul odor coming from the impounded Tesla, according to a local report.
An investigation is underway after a body was allegedly found in an impounded Tesla, according to local news reports.
Incident reported at 1000 Block of N Mansfield Ave.

Poor girl… RIP I’m so sorry you were hurt and discarded like that. Pure evil, i hope justice will be served:(
@ScruffyFluffer tf is wrong with your mentality
That's not a woman. That is a child.
@overlandparkUser2061953001 I was running around with older men at her age and didn’t end up murdered. It’s really the killers fault.
So many people failed this girl
@losangelesUser1572718011 Children run away because they are being abused, there is always a reason of some kind of abuse. Also it looks like sexual exploitation of a child was normalized enough for her to consider him a “boyfriend”.
Yall comments coming from grown adults with no sympathy to this child is disgusting
@lynnefromnn 😂
