The NYPD is asking for help identifying a man wanted in connection with a hit-and-run in the Bronx earlier this month. According to police, around 10:50 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, a man driving a 2017 Ford Mustang was heading east on East 149th Street when he tried to make a left turn onto Courtland Avenue. Instead, he lost control, jumped the curb, and hit six people on the sidewalk — three men and three women, ranging in age from 30 to 79. Fortunately, the six victims had only minor injuries and were taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition. After the crash, the driver ran off, ditching the car and fleeing on foot. He’s described as a man with a medium complexion and build, dark facial hair, tattoos on both arms, and was last seen wearing a black do-rag, white t-shirt, green sweatpants, and yellow sneakers. If you have any information, you're urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS, or 1-888-57-PISTA for Spanish. Tips can also be submitted online at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org or on X @NYPDTips. All calls are confidential.
