Car was going to fast, and hit another car, then swerved hit the bus stop pole and straight into Carvel. Shook all the buildings. Miracle no one got hurt, and the driver even came out walking with no cuts or injuries.

Justin Brannan posted this update on his Facebook page: Early this morning, an 86 year-old driver lost control of his vehicle and drove into the Carvel at 8612 3rd Avenue. FDNY and NYPD responded immediately, and their related operations have now concluded. Two civilians with minor injuries were taken to the hospital, and one other person with a minor injury was treated on-scene. National Grid has inspected and found no damage to gas line infrastructure, the MTA has been notified of the downed B37 bus stop sign, and the establishment owner is on site and already working with a restoration company to make repairs and get the business re-opened. Thank you to our first responders for an immediate and effective response! My office is here if anyone has questions or concerns: AskJB@council.nyc.gov / 718-748-5200
