My close friend was also killed by MTA bus that turned and hit her while she was in crosswalk and had the right of way

I’m glad everyone in the comments is an expert, on the scene, and knows exactly what happened

Injury appears substantial (if not fatal?). Front window of bus is broken on passenger/entrance side and up relatively high. Block is closed. Blood on street far behind where bus is parked indicating …. High impact/high rate of travel?

Some bus drivers drive like maniacs. Stop saying people are guilty of their own deaths for looking at their phones... I'm a driver and encounter plenty of people not paying attention and looking down on their phones while crossing.. for that reason, I pay extra attention and watch out for pedestrians doing this so I don't kill anybody..u know? I've also been nearly ran off the road by speeding busses who have their own lane but people block their lane and they speed up to go around them merging into the regular lane without a care in the world for cars. Some of them are simply very irresponsible drivers
