ICE Agents Ram Car to Make "Targeted Arrest" of Man Accused of Punching Border Patrol Officer

ICE agents rammed a car today to make a "targeted arrest," officials say. Two unmarked cars, identified later as Homeland Security vehicles, pinned a white sedan between them and agents then made the arrest. Agents say the arrest was of a man accused of punching a Border Patrol officer. “When Homeland Security Investigations tried to arrest Christian Damian Cerno-Camacho for the assault, he attempted to flee. He was ultimately arrested and taken into custody,” DHS said.

A woman interviewed by Telemundo 52 says she began recording after hearing a crash outside a nearby store on Whittier Blvd. She says ICE agents surrounded a mother and baby, harassed the family, and struck their car three times, once in front and twice from behind, before deploying tear gas. As seen in Citizen user video from @lapuenteUser1712197030, the witness shouted that the mother had rights and demanded identification from the agents, who allegedly laughed and left without providing names; she says one agent even moved the damaged car to clear traffic. Police and EMS were called afterward, and the family claimed ICE never showed a warrant. The husband, reportedly a U.S. citizen, was allegedly being targeted for his protest activity in Paramount.
