People need a place to live. So if you put the people out where will they go? I worked for NYCHA 38 years and you have decent people living there. People with jobs making decent wages. Rent is based on 30% of their income. You have people paying 2K a month living in NYCHA. You can’t live no where else in the city paying that small amount of rent today. Studios in the Bronx is going for 2500. Stop putting the blame where it doesn’t belong.
