Woman Killed Defending Against Robbers, Second Suspect at Large

Liu had buzzed her husband into the building and was waiting with their 32-year-old son on the eighth-floor hallway. As her husband struggled with two masked suspects in the elevator, Liu intervened but was shot in the face. The robbers, described as wearing a half red, half black hooded jacket and a black hooded coat, fled with the husband’s cell phone. Liu’s husband and son were unharmed. The suspects are still at large, and police are actively investigating the crime.

Emergency services on the scene have confirmed one fatality and two injured. It is unclear how the two additional victims were injured.

The suspects are described as Black males aged 15-20 years-old. Both suspects were last seen wearing all black.
