The fight broke out inside the cafeteria of the school, police said. A knife was recovered at the scene. Three people are in the hospital.
Six people were injured in the assault inside New Dawn Charter High School II in Jamaica, WCBS reported. It's unclear whether those involved were students or what the exact circumstances are surrounding the incident. Five of those injured were taken into custody.
Officers are also conducting a citywide hospital search for any possible teenagers that arrive with slashing wounds.

This is my school thank goodness I stayed home today I’ve been trying to transfer out of here for 3 weeks we have metal detectors and full body searching everyday but it’s still not safe

@nycsux29 How can parents make a living and home-school their children at the same time, dummy? Especially with the high cost of living. BOTH parents have to work to make ends meet and some families don’t even have the “luxury” of a two-parent household. Yes! Education starts at home and we can agree on that, but get your head out of that utopian gutter before commenting nonsense. 🙄
Whew somebody who gets it. I would love to stay home with my salary and work from home, the govt won't allow it for reasons that they put on everyone instead of just trying it out so we can be with our responsibilities at home aka our children.
Arrest them and don’t forget to release them 1 hour later so they can commit more crime so you can re arrest them only so you can release them again
