I messaged the people at CrimeJunkie podcast so they can get the word out—they have a huge platform and frequently feature cases of crimes against BIPOC people. I hope it helps 🙏🏽

I find it alarming that she was "rejecting visitors" when told her family had shown up to find her. They said it's cause she has a mental illness so she probably didn't understand what was being told to her but they never name the illness. I find it odd that a woman to mentally ill to understand people trying to tell her something is capable enough to make it from Chicago to NYC, find housing, and make her way around town to stores. Really hoping for more clarification on this story in the future, I can see why some people in the comments here are suspicious of the story.

@GodBlessUs82 I know the feeling because I have a nephew who also suffers from schizophrenia who went to another state with no warning and was gone for a few days and had us worried to death but we thank God he made it back and like you said if you have never had to deal with it you really don’t understand what it’s like. (What I don’t like is how the law says they can make decisions on their own knowing the suffer from mental illness. ) Thank God this young lady was found safe!!!
