According to a report from Eyewitness News sourced via Samdesk, an officer was hospitalized after a crash this morning at around 3:30 a.m. A driver ran a red light, and police swerved to get out of the way, crashing into a light pole. One officer in the vehicle was not injured, but another officer sustained a leg injury and is expected to be fine.
