Our future stars are definitely FOCUSED on the wrong things that could make a difference. So sad & at the same time so true. I'm a mentor in one of NYC's high schools. I've been able to get through to a few students, male & female and I've seen a big difference between them having someone they can relate to as opposed to having no one to reach out to. I've been in the system for 18 years and have ADOPTED many young ladies & men & have helped with their process to see the big picture. We need more positive roles models to be involved in their lives. I does make a difference. TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU. Have to TALK TO THEM " NOT AT THEM.
