This area is riddled with crime - I can’t believe how things have gotten. This used to be a good place to raise kids. Now i can’t even walk alone in daylight or early morning without worrying someone’s out to rob me or my kids

Yes, Inwood was always a very peaceful and harmonious neighborhood. People would move into it... because it was so quiet and almost crime free

Omg. Prayers going up for a speedy capture of the criminal. The neighborhood must be safe again. All the robberies and assault are out of control. Drugs and guns or knives are deadly combinations. Be safe.

i walked right off the 1 train and there was a guy with a cut and a crazy bump on the side of his head the ones you get when you get hit bad :/ he was on his feet and the police were taking his info down so i think he’ll be okay

Inwood needs its own volunteer force to keep the streets safe!!! If police don’t do it (I can’t blame them), and mayor doesn’t do it )I do blame him!) the citizens need
