According to an update from the NYPD, police responded to a 911 report of a person in need of assistance at the intersection of 5th Ave and 60th St. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 38-year-old man with a knife lodged in his chest. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and whether a crime occurred.
