Five Injured, One Fatally After Ambulance Flipped in Crash

According to a news report from SIAdvance, a woman involved in the collision was pronounced deceased after being transported to a hospital.

According to a news report from ABC7 New York, an ambulance transporting a patient overturned after an SUV crashed into it on Staten Island. The ambulance had just picked up a pedestrian who had been struck by a car and was transporting her to the hospital. That's when an SUV t-boned the ambulance in the intersection of Jewett Ave and Main Ave, sending it crashing onto its side. Five people, including the emergency workers, driver, and initial patient were all transported to the hospital. Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening, according to police. Jewett Avenue is closed between College Avenue and The Boulevard as police continue to investigate the scene.

Dalian refrain from your disrespectful comment. There was a patient in the ambulance they were transporting. Be grateful you or your family member was not in the ambulance. Paramedics and EMTs work under high stress everyday going on 1.5 million calls a year and don’t get paid enough money to be highly trained and skilled as they saves lives everyday. The ambulance was struck by a vehicle and the patient may not survive.

The point that I’m trying to make is that people should think how important it is not to speed and to drive carefully when they are on the road. Not regret it after it’s too late. I see a lot of cars flying down streets and it’s absolutely unnecessary. Peoples lives are at risk every single day and everyone should be mindful of that
