Summary
Five people were shot on the Coney Island Boardwalk late Saturday night, officials said.
Just before midnight, police received a report of a shooting at the Riegelmann Boardwalk at West 29th Street.
Upon arrival, officers found five people with gunshot wounds.
Medics transported them all to a local hospital, where four of the five--all with injuries to the leg or foot--were listed in stable condition, according to a statement from the NYPD.
The fifth victim, a 42-year-old man found with a gunshot wound to the back, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
No arrests have been made. This investigation is ongoing.

It all starts at home! Raise your children right, and if you can't or don't want to, give them to someone who will raise them right. Just because you can have kids doesn't mean that you should. The parents need to take a lot of blame for their kids out here acting a fool. The new generation of youth coming up is becoming more and more lost by the day.

Stop glorifying gun and gang violence. Stop having kids that you can’t parent appropriately. Stop blaming other people for your inadequacies.
@househobo exactly that the new way for not accepting responsibility.. some parents are to afraid to search their teenagers belongs. It’s time for parents to search and report . It will save a whole lots of lives. But again these parents who don’t care until it hits home are alcoholics, weed smokers. Holes , Getto and etc.. but at some point they need to be held accountable for their school dropouts
My Mom moved us out when I was around 10, I’m very happy she did. Don’t get me wrong and I still go there but only Day time. You won’t catch me there at night smh 🤦🏻♀️ only if I go see the fireworks once in a while💥 or parties with friends but the min I see something not right I’m out …. A few times I parked my car around 19 mermaid Ave and I was So afraid I would be jumped never again will I park around there again it changed so much so much low lives so sad 😞
