- NYPD officials said that during a preliminary investigation, police determined the woman had been walking with a 5-year-old child and pushing a stroller with a 2-year-old child inside. They were walking with or near the man when a suspect fired gunshots from a black Acura MDX that fled southbound on Caffery Avenue.
- Neither child was injured in the shooting.
- According to a report from PIX11, the man—who is allegedly a gang member—is believed to have been the targeted victim of the shooting.
- No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
