According to a press release from the New York Police Department, police responded to a call on July 9th of a man in the water at FDR Dr and E 41 st at approximately 12:58 p.m.Upon arrival, officers observed a 38-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, floating in the East River. The individual was removed from the water, where EMS pronounced him deceased on the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The deceased man has been identified as a missing man named William Wallace.
