Police are releasing the additional units aiding in the search back to their regular duty.
According to the official NYPD official website, EMS transported the man with gunshot wounds to the chest and leg to a city hospital where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests in regard and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police advised that the suspect fled northbound on Classon Ave on foot.
