Summary

Over 100 firefighters battled a massive house fire in Duboce Triangle early Friday morning, officials said.

At around 5:40 a.m., firefighters were alerted to a report of a house fire in the 100 block of Noe Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a blaze extending through a three-story home and went to work attempting to extinguish it.

User video from the scene showed a column of smoke and fire rising from the house.

Around 15 minutes after their arrival, a second alarm was called, requesting more resources. A third alarm was called by 6:15 a.m. as the fire began to spread to an adjacent home.

The efforts of over 100 firefighters eventually contained the blaze at around 8:40 a.m. However, five residents were displaced.

All of the displaced residents have temporary shelter.

Crews continued to search for any remaining pockets of fire and closed off the 100-200 blocks of Noe Street.

SFFD investigators will determine the cause of the fire.
