During the 2020 pandemic, Esther Lim witnessed blatant Anti-Asian racism towards the AAPI community and experienced hate because of her race. With the Asian community increasingly becoming targets of hate crimes, she became worried for the safety of her family and friends. After these experiences Esther created “How To Report A Hate Crime”, visual booklets to train Asian communities on how to recognize & report Asian hate crimes. With that, her mission is to fill the gap where there were no resources in native Asian languages.
