Suspect Arrested After Stabbing Man, Pushing Him Onto Tracks

A man was arrested after stabbing and pushing another man onto the tracks during a dispute in a Midtown subway station Wednesday afternoon, NYPD officials said.

At approximately 11:40 a.m., emergency personnel responded to reports of a person lying in the tracks at the Times Square-42nd Street station.

Responding transit officers in the station located a 52-year-old man heavily bleeding from stab wounds to the neck and back.

Additionally, officials confirmed a suspect was taken into custody shortly after the assault and that a knife was recovered from the train tracks.

A spokesperson for the NYPD confirmed the victim is in stable condition.

Detectives are investigating.
