A teenage boy was fatally shot in the Gravesend part of Brooklyn Wednesday evening, officials said.
At approximately 5:11 p.m., officers responded to multiple reports of a person shot in the 2700 block of 86th Street at the Marlboro Houses.
Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old boy suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
The boy was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
No arrests have been made.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
