Summary
A 13-year-old boy is in critical condition after he and another teenage boy were shot inside a Harlem restaurant Wednesday night.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., police responded to numerous 911 calls of a person shot at W. 116th Street and Frederick Douglass Blvd.
When officers arrived, they found a 13-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds at Mama’s Fried Chicken on Frederick Douglass Blvd.
One boy was shot in the head and the other in the back; there are conflicting reports as to whom was struck where.
The 13-year-old victim was in critical condition, but both victims are reportedly stable and expected to recover.
Police took a 17-year-old person of interest into custody.
