Teen Fatally Shot Near Richman Park

A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot Sunday night in the West Bronx, police said.

At approximately 11:36 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call of a gunshot victim at E. 178th Street and Valentine Avenue, in Tremont.

The victim was found outside an apartment building with gunshot wounds to his head and chest.

According to police radios, the victim may have been found inside the backseat of a cab.

EMS transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No one has been arrested as homicide detectives continue to investigate.
