These comments are getting out of hand from those not in this building. This is a domestic violence issue. This has nothing to do with gang violence or a robbery or ‘hipsters changing the neighborhood’. This couple has lived here for years and the man has had a history of the police being called on him to investigate his threats that neighbors have heard. And nothing was done. We have all feared something like this would happen. When a neighbor informed us a woman was shot by a man in our building we knew exactly what happened. Domestic violence is not specific to a ‘type of neighborhood’. These signs need to be taken seriously because this is what happens. The current ‘system’ to investigate these instances are clearly not working. We are all hoping she makes it through this..
I suspected this was the case and posted as such earlier. Thank you for clarifying. I'm very sorry you and your neighbors have had to deal with this and I hope he's gone forever and she pulls through.

Thank you Tobias. It's really sad that so little respect for a human life, a woman, trapped in a domestic violence cycle, abused and now shot. Sad this area is used to promote political opinions. I pray this woman gets the help she needs and takes the help and finds a way to get away from this man. Part of the abusive cycle is keeping the woman pen iless and stripping her of any self confidence she can survive on her own. If you living near her, why not send her a note to let her know you care?
