Summary

A woman died from injuries sustained in a double shooting in Fordham Manor Wednesday night.

At about 11:24 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man shot at E. 194th Street and Marion Avenue.

Officers discovered two shooting victims then they arrived: a 29-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the torso, and a 31-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body.

EMS transported both victims to an area hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead later Thursday morning. The man is currently listed in stable condition.

After the shooting, officers were searching for a male suspect, and an NYPD helicopter responded to search nearby rooftops.

However, there have been no arrests and police have not released information about a suspect.

According to a [news report](https://www.amny.com/new-york/bronx/nyc-shootings-three-people-gunned-down-in-brooklyn-and-bronx/) citing a police source, the victims were brother and sister. The male victim got into a dispute with an individual who pulled out a gun and started shooting.

The homicide investigation is ongoing.

Father God step in and calm this city. Please put a hedge of protection around this victim of gun violence. Please take these guns off our street. Protect our families, protect our family members who wear blue, allow this person to survive. In matchless name of your son Jesus. Amen

@Beme4u2c you are silly. The only way to stop this is to kill those who perpetrate these acts

This is so sad heard the shots and ran outside but by that time they was putting a person in the ambulance. I am tired of gun violence we for real on lock down and not only because of Covid but because of the violence. There is no where to turn it’s all around. How do we raise our children in the midst of war? Do they grow and become accustomed and numb therefore become a product of their environment? Live and let live One person in the community missing is heartbreaking for the entire community. Roses do grow despite concrete #liveandletlive
