A 40-year-old man was fatally shot outside on a block in Bedford–Stuyvesant Thursday night, police confirmed.
Police responded to a 911 call of gunshots heard at approximately 9:33 p.m. at Stuyvesant Avenue and Lafayette Avenue.
Officers located the victim in front of 144 Lewis Ave with gunshot wounds to the torso.
EMS responded and transported him to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made as detectives investigate.
