A 29-year-old man was killed in a shooting outside Woodside Houses Tuesday afternoon, police confirmed.

At about 1 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call of shots fired in front of the development at Broadway and 49th Street.

When officers arrived, they found the victim unconscious and unresponsive, with multiple gunshot wounds to the lower part of his body, according to an NYPD statement released Tuesday night.

Officers at the scene reported the man was shot in both of his legs.

Although officers initially determined the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, he was pronounced dead after being transported by EMS to an area hospital.
