Fourteen people were arrested Thursday night in Downtown Brooklyn after police raided a party bus where 8 loaded firearms were discovered. 

According to a press briefing from Chief Miguel Iglesias of the NYPD detectives bureau, at around 9:10 p.m., Youth Coordination officers from PSA2 obtained information regarding a party bus in Brooklyn that had several firearms aboard. 

The officers distributed the information to nearby precincts. Shortly after, the bus was identified and pulled over near the corner of York Street and Front Street.

Police entered the bus, which was carrying 40 people, and discovered eight loaded firearms with an additional 58 total rounds of ammunition.

Police arrested 14 people, including three juveniles, for possession of a firearm. 

Detectives are continuing to investigate, and the NYPD is working closely with the District Attorney's office on any further charges.
