At around 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a report of a person shot inside of an apartment located at 70 E 108th Street.
Officers arriving at the scene identified a 39-year-old woman who had been shot in the head.
EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Jaiteh Fatuuomat.
Police say they’ve taken a 22-year-old man, identified as Camara Musa into custody with regards to the shooting.
