- At approximately 11:17 a.m. on Monday, police received a report of a possible abduction in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. A 911 caller reported seeing a teenage girl apparently being forced into a yellow taxi minivan by a man who then drove off.
- At 11:26 a.m. police activated other officers to search for the cab. They identified its location and tracked it up the Brooklyn–Queens Expressway to Woodside, Queens, where they stopped the driver at about 12:30 p.m.
- It was there that officers determined that the incident was a dispute between father and daughter and that no abduction had occurred. The incident resolved with no arrests.

The girl is described as 13-15 years old, possibly Latina, with a slim build, black hair, and last seen wearing light gray hoodie.
The taxi was last seen making a left on Avenue P and went straight on Avenue O.
According to an update, the suspect forced a teenage Latina girl into a yellow taxi.
The suspect was last seen wearing a gray sweater, dark blue jeans, brown shoes, and dark gray gloves.
Police are en route.
