According to an update from the LAFD, firefighters are continuing to battle the blaze which has caused the roof to collapse. The fire is mostly extinguished. HAZMAT teams have determined there is no immediate danger from materials on the scene. Bystanders have reported that all occupants were safely evacuated. Building has been available for rent or sale recently. Btw, 99 cents Fire was started by homeless. Was not insurance fraud. The owner had a store lease there to last through the start of construction of the new apartments.
