8-Year-Old Girl Among Three Struck by Stray Bullets in South Harlem Shootout

Summary

An 8-year-old girl is among three people who were injured in a Saturday night shooting outside of a supermarket in South Harlem, police say.

According to officials, at around 7:00 p.m. police responded to a report of a person shout outside of 130 Malcom X Boulevard.

Officers arriving at the scene identified a 36-year-old woman who had been shot in the right arm.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital where she was listed in stable condition.

Later on, police were notified of two walk-in victims from the same shooting at a nearby hospital.

A 39-year-old man had been shot in the right arm, and an 8-year-old girl was shot in the right knee. They were both listed in stable condition.

Police say that surveillance video shows two men in an argument that ended in them shooting at each other. The victims were struck by stray bullets from the shootout.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
