As many as four vessels sank in Lake Travis during a Trump boat parade on Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 12:38 p.m. EMS and police received multiple reports of vessels becoming swamped with water in Lake Travis during a boat parade for the Trump re-election campaign. 

As of 1:00 p.m., firefighters were able to tow some of the partially submerged boats to the shore and assist people who had been trapped in the water. They also used drones and low-flying helicopters to search for any other people who may have been stranded in the water. 

As of 4:00 p.m., no major injuries have been reported.  

Multiple Boats in Distress, Passengers Rescued From Water at Trump Boat Parade

There is a boat parade making its way through Lake Travis.

EMS have described the parade conditions as rough.

At least three boats have been swamped with water and sunk according to EMS monitoring the situation.

There are no reported injuries at this time.

According to EMS updates, there are at least two sinking boats with people onboard.

According to EMS, there is another sinking pontoon boat. There are eight to ten occupants on the boat.

There are reportedly a few boats in distress by Arkansas bend.

The boats are reportedly unruly and not adhering to safety measures.

Police have received another distress call from a boat a quarter mile up river from Arkansas bend.

One of the boats in distress is reportedly fully submerged.

EMS report seeing life jackets in the water. It is unclear if there are patients in distress or injured.

EMS have identified a few patients in the water.

EMS have divers in the water rescuing multiple people. There are at least four patients at this time.

Firefighters are towing some of the partially submerged boats to the shore.

Firefighters have discovered another boat in distress with six people in the water.

Firefighters have directed additional rescue swimmers to assist people who are still in the water.

A crane boat is assisting firefighters to pull boats out of the water.

Firefighters are checking the area near Paradise Cove for additional people who may be in the water.

Firefighters are reporting the parade has thinned out after boats reached a turn around point.

Firefighters have discovered another completely submerged boat near the Crosswater Yacht Club.

An additional submerged vessel was reported at Point Venture.

Firefighters are utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles to help survey the river.

Firefighters are reporting a red helicopter is flying low at the water level.

The helicopter is flying as low as 200 feet above the river in the direction of Paradise Cove.

The low flying vehicle has been described as a helicopter or gyrocopter.

Firefighters and EMS personnel are boarding a house boat to assist a passenger.

Some fire department units are are being released from the scene.
