8:16 AM, THURSDAY – Police and EMS responded to a report of a mother and child struck by a vehicle near Pennsylvania Avenue & Blake Avenue. The mother and 10-year-old child were both rushed to a nearby hospital where the child was initially listed in critical condition. The mother was listed in stable condition. Shortly thereafter, NYPD sources confirmed that the child had died as a result of his injuries. The investigation is ongoing and police have not reported any arrests.
