16-Year-Old Boy Shot in Leg Outside Martin Van Buren High School

2:50 PM, TUESDAY – Citizen reported that police were responding to shots fired near Martin Van Buren Highschool. Police arriving on the scene identified a 16-year-old boy who had been shot in the right leg. EMS was called to the scene and he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is expected to survive. According to police, the victim said that he was shot during a dispute with a group of people outside the school. Citizen user video captured by @LoSmAn718 showed police outside the school. There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.

When I went to school here they had metal detectors and security guards plus you had to check into every class with a card with your name
