Man Killed in Fort Greene Fire

At 3:18 a.m., Citizen reported that firefighters were responding to a report of a fire at 248 Adelphi street. Citizen user @Frankh91 was quick to capture video of the initial response, and showed smoke coming out of the building. By 4:00 a.m, firefighters had reported that they had extinguished the flames. According to a statement by the NYPD, FDNY personnel had identified a man inside the building’s lobby who was unconscious and unresponsive. EMS declared the man dead at the scene. According to news reports, the man was found with stab wounds to his body. The investigation as to the cause of the fire is ongoing.
