Police were initially called about a woman in distress on the ground.

When police arrived, they found the woman, accompanied by a large, unleashed dog.

Police started to walk towards the woman when the dog suddenly charged at them, causing one of them to shoot the animal. The dog was killed in the shooting.

The woman was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition, and no other injuries were reported.
