The PPD put out a request for help from the public Wednesday to find a man in relation to the Saturday night South Street mass shooting. The man should be considered armed and dangerous, police stated.

There were pedestrian and vehicle traffic closures around South Street Sunday night after three were killed and a dozen more were injured when shooters opened fire at a crowd on South Street shortly before midnight Saturday night.

Philadelphia police requested the public’s help identifying people involved in the shooting.

Police said one of the men fatally shot had been in a physical altercation with another man that escalated to an exchange of gunfire. Both man were shot, one of them fatally.

A 34-year-old man, a 22-year-old man, and a 27-year-old woman were pronounced deceased in the hospital.

Police said two of the deceased were innocent bystanders, as were most of the people injured in the shooting.

In addition to the three fatal victims and the suspect who fled after being shot by police, police said 11 victims were struck.

They range in age from 17 to 69 years old. Their conditions range from stable to critical.

Officers recovered two firearms from the scene.
