Police are investigating after a series of brush fires were set in Central Park Tuesday afternoon, officials said. 

At around 1:30 p.m., firefighters responded to reports of brush fires near the corner of W. 107th Street and Central Park West. 

Upon arrival, firefighters were able to put out three small fires which Citizen user video showed continued to send smoke high above the tree line. 

According to a report from the NYPD, witnesses told police that they saw a man lighting the fires.

Detectives are investigating. 

No arrests were reported. 

Multiple Trash Fires in Central Park

Firefighters report at least six to ten small trash fires in the park.

The address reported for this incident has changed to Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd & Central Park N.

Firefighters are working to extinguish the numerous fires.
