A woman died from injuries sustained in a double shooting in Fordham Manor Wednesday night.

At about 11:24 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man shot at E. 194th Street and Marion Avenue.

Officers discovered two shooting victims then they arrived: a 29-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the torso, and a 31-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body.

EMS transported both victims to an area hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead later Thursday morning. The man is currently listed in stable condition.

After the shooting, officers were searching for a male suspect, and an NYPD helicopter responded to search nearby rooftops.

However, there have been no arrests and police have not released information about a suspect.

The homicide investigation is ongoing.

The NYPD has released a statement advising that the wounded individuals were a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman. Both people were transported to a city hospital where the woman was pronounced deceased. The man was treated for multiple gunshot wounds to his body and is listed in stable condition.
