Ice Falling From Building 

Firefighters are closing access to 6th Avenue from West 57th Street to Central Park South due to ice falling from a building.

Incident reported at 6th Ave & W 57th St.

Police are requesting additional officers to the scene for crowd and traffic control.

The area is being cordoned off and representatives from the NYC Office of Emergency Management (OEM) are on scene.

Citizen user amdnyc2680 shows a parked vehicle whose rear window has apparently been shattered by the ice.

An additional report states ice is falling from a building on W 53rd Street.

Central Park South, 58th, & 57th Streets have been closed from 5th Avenue to 8th Avenue, according to firefighters.
