Another person sustained injuries in the crash and was hospitalized, per local news.

SFPD has released a statement regarding this incident. One pedestrian victim has been declared deceased at the hospital.

On 03/27/2026 at approximately 7:43 a. M. , San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of Grant Avenue and Jackson Street regarding a vehicle collision.

Officers arrived on scene and located two victims suffering from injuries.

The victims were transported by paramedics to a local hospital. Despite the life saving efforts of first responders and medical staff, a victim was declared deceased at the hospital.

Another adult victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation determined that the driver, a 76-year-old male, was attempting to park his vehicle when the vehicle collided with two pedestrians on the sidewalk and then into a building.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Impairment due to alcohol and or drugs do not appear to be a factor at this time.

Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TCIU) is handling the investigation.
