Police advised the fire escalated to a second alarm, and notifications have been made.

Nine firefighters were injured overnight when a swiftly spreading fire extended to multiple rowhomes and caused structural collapse, per local news.

Several of the injured firefighters were trapped by fallen debris during the collapse of one structure. All of the injured fire crew were taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

As of this morning, six firefighters have been released from the hospital, and three are hospitalized in stable condition.

Nine residents were displaced in the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
