Firefighters have knocked down the fire and are tending to two victims, one in critical condition.

Firefighters suppressed the flames enough to search the house and pulled two people outside. Both died at the scene.

Crews extinguished the fire in 19 minutes.

The L.A. County Medical Examiner and arson investigators responded to the location.

Officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire, per local news.

Police responded with a canopy to cover a body.

Despite earlier reports suggesting two people had died, authorities say a teenage girl was killed and an elderly woman is in grave condition.  The girl is estimated to be about 15. Firefighters clarified that the woman, previously believed to have died, was resuscitated on the way to the hospital. She is in her 70s or 80s.

Officials said the first victim, initially reported as a teenager, was later confirmed to be an elderly woman who died at the scene. The second victim was identified as a 70-year-old woman.
