A high-risk police pursuit through Inglewood ended in chaos Tuesday morning after a convicted felon, wanted for a violent 2023 armed carjacking, ran a red light and T-boned another vehicle at Centinela and La Brea.

Behind the wheel was 24-year-old Aaron Flenoy, who was on active parole and had a $5.7M warrant out for charges including carjacking, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and illegal gun possession. Officers from Culver City Police spotted him around 10AM and attempted a traffic stop, but Flenoy hit the gas, initiating a two-minute pursuit.

Inside the fleeing vehicle were a 20-year-old woman and two children, ages 5 and 9. After the crash, the kids were extricated and rushed to the hospital for evaluation. Flenoy and the woman, Timberline Davenport, were treated for minor injuries before being taken into custody.

Both adults now face felony child endangerment charges, and Davenport was also wanted on multiple outstanding warrants. No injuries were reported in the vehicle Flenoy struck. The California Highway Patrol is leading the crash investigation.
