Protesters in Standoff Following March Through Midtown

A 911 caller has reported an unconfirmed incident at W 42nd St & 7th Ave.

Officers have requested additional units to the scene of a crowd they describe as "disorderly."

Police are ahead of and following the group.

The group is associated with the Democratic Socialists America (DSA) of NYC and is marching "in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their right to resist 75 years of occupation and apartheid."

Police say the group is about a block long, containing approximately 500 people.

The address reported for this incident has changed to E 39th St & 3rd Ave.

User video shows two opposing groups separated behind barricades by police. One side has Palestinian flags and the other side has Israeli flags.

The protest reportedly began in Times Square and made its way to the Consulate General of Israel.
