Firefighters initially received a report of a vehicle on fire.

Firefighters at the scene confirmed a box truck exploded. Police were requested to the scene.

Per a news report from ABC7, the explosion shattered the windows of nearby homes and damaged vehicles. However, no injuries were reported. LAFD personnel say that a propane tank in the truck may have been leaking, although the cause of the explosion has yet to be determined.
