Five Injured in Fire Inside Crown Heights Apartment Building

Emergency units are responding to a report of a person trapped.

Police dispatch now advises this may be a fire inside an apartment building.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and confirmed there is a fire inside of the building.

Firefighters advise this is a three-story building.

Two additional FDNY units have been requested to the scene. EMS is also en-route.

Firefighters advise two hoses are in use. The fire is on the second floor, but has extended to the top floor. Searches are underway, per firefighters.

EMS units advise that the patients sustained minor injuries.
