Mother and Two Daughters Fatally Injured in Bed-Stuy Apartment Fire

Firefighters are responding to a 911 report of an apartment fire.

Fire crews on the scene have confirmed a fire on the third floor. They are dousing the flames now.

Three residents have fire-related injuries. Their condition is unknown at this time.

All visible flames have been knocked down. Fire crews have confirmed that three residents are suffering life-threatening injuries and one resident is suffering non-life-threating injuries related to the fire.

According to a report from ABC7 New York, a mother and her 8-year-old daughter were killed, and her 10-year-old son was critically injured, in a fire that broke out in a third-floor apartment this morning. Three other people sustained minor injuries. Firefighters extinguished the flames and are investigating the cause of the fire.

In an updated report, ABC7 New York now states that the 50-year-old mother and her two young daughters, ages 8 and 10, have all been pronounced deceased at an area hospital. Three other people sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
